About Jeanne

This is my 14th year of teaching! While living in the U.S. I taught fourth grade and middle school language arts and social studies in the Virginia Beach City Public School system. In 1999, my husband, Steve, and I started our adventure of teaching overseas. We taught at the International School of Dakar, Senegal. During our time in Dakar, I taught fifth grade. Then in 2001, we moved to New Delhi, India. At the American Embassy School, I taught fifth grade for one year and seventh grade Humanities for three years. In November of 2003, we had our first child, Sean. My family returned to the U.S. in the summer of 2005. My second child, Jasmine, was born in 2006, and in the fall of 2008, I completed my TESOL certification through Regent University. My family and I joined the SAS learning community in August of 2009. My husband, Steve, teaches eighth grade science, and our two children, Sean, age 6, and Jasmine, age 4, attend SAS. Last year I taught sixth grade Humanities, and this school year, I am working with middle school students again teaching ESOL 6 and 7. I am passionate about learning and love teaching! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, traveling, and creating scrapbooks.
